St. Alcuin Montessori School is a private school in Dallas, Texas, with an educational philosophy founded on the principles established by Dr. Maria Montessori in the early 1900s. To accommodate future growth, St. Alcuin began a building expansion program that includes two new buildings, renovation to six existing campus buildings along with a new educational masterplan. The new Shaun Underhill Library and Community Building is 29000 square feet comprised of a new gymnasium, lower school library, community center and serves as the centerpiece of the school's community. The new Galbraith Family Building for St. Alcuin Montessori School is a flexible and sustainable learning environment that embodies independent student exploration. The new facility supports children from fourth to eighth grade. The new design also includes a new upper school media center, art studio, design center and music room. A multi-purpose student presentation area and student cooking center is also part of the school program along with outdoor learning gardens for individual student or group learning.
