The Cavan Burren is a site of a stone age settlement that is has hut sites, wedge tombs, and portal tombs that are aligned with the rising and setting sun of the winter and summer solstices. Seamus O' hUltacháin & Gaby Burns have made many discoveries over the years and share them on this geological and archeological walk. The site is beautiful, set on a fertile limestone plateau in County Cavan, Ireland, and surrounded by mountains, including the majestic Culcaigh. Termed a "relict landscape," the Cavan Burren is part of the Marble Arch Caves Global Geopark. This is part 2 of a three-part series on this particular walk.
