This orchid shows a new primary spike and a possible secondary ones on the old stalk. Note that I have not cut any of the old spike and still the plant is putting out new flower spikes, both primary and secondary, following its natural cycle. I am feeding it Miracle gro ( for the last few weeks) ie higher nitrogen content for the building of leaves and roots. When the spikes are stronger, I will use the Orchid fertilser with more Phosphorus content. New roots, shiny leaves and growing spikes indicate good health. So if the conditions are right, the orchid shows a strong will to live and bloom and rebloom again and again...Yay! Enjoy.....btw this is the orchid that was repotted from Moss to Bark last week.
