This documentary (short version) reveals how an in-depth and interdisciplinary study of rivers at The Common School (Amherst, MA) nurtures scientific understanding and care for the world we live in. The progressive roots of this historic school are evident as children and teachers explain what they are learning, the value of what they are learning, and all while having first-hand authentic experiences with rivers, nature, and professionals in the community. Check out the full length version for additional footage and interviews with more students.
